Hospitalist Collection
The following collection includes articles published in Annals of Internal Medicine since January 1, 2005 identified with the assistance of the following hospital medicine experts from the Hospital Medicine Program of the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center and University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Articles published in a given year were independently reviewed by two of four primary reviewers for relevance to hospital medicine. Articles were classified as: 1) definitely relevant; 2) definitely not relevant; or 3) possibly relevant. After the independent primary review, the two reviewers for the year in question jointly discussed the articles and determined relevance for hospital medicine. The committee-at-large then discussed all articles ultimately selected for inclusion, with more extensive discussion of articles for which a consensus could not be reached by the primary reviewers. Of note, from January 2005 through January 2011, the committee identified 543/2079 (26.1%) articles published in Annals as relevant to hospitalists.
