"Karim Brohi, Professor of Trauma Sciences at Barts & the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London, discusses the experimental and clinical evidence for permissive hypotension as part of a damage control resuscitation strategy. Karim Brohi is Professor of Trauma Sciences at Barts and the London School of Medicine, and lead for the Centre for Trauma Sciences. He is a consultant Trauma & Vascular surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust. He attended medical school at University College London and has trained in London, Oxford, Cape Town and San Francisco. He leads an active research programme at Queen Mary University, and has particular academic interests into the organisation of trauma systems, errors in trauma care and performance improvement; severe and complex outcomes after trauma; and the management of severe bleeding. Karim is also the founder of the TRAUMA.ORG web site."
