"Clinical Pearls
  • Scorpion envenomation should be considered in any individual who presents with reported bite or suspected bite with a constitution of neurological symptoms including chaotic eye movements/rotary nystagmus.
  • Grade III and IV envenomations can be treated with supportive care +/- Anascorp
  • Anascorp although expensive is effective and may prevent hospitalization and ICU admission
  • There have been no direct mortality cases of scorpion envenomation in the United States wince 1940"
